Vision Statement:
We're a Church where Everyone is Loved, Lives are Changed & Saints are equipped for God's Ministry
Mission Statement:
Greater Bethany Missionary Baptist Church exists to share God’s love, grow in faith, and serve our community. We welcome everyone with open hearts and open arms.
We Believe:
The Bible is God’s Word, existing as a Trinity in unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and yet one God.
Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.
The Church, believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission, preaching the Gospel to every creature.
Prayer, Praise and Worship brings us a closer relationship to God.
We're a family where everyone belongs
Pastor Black is a devoted shepherd, leading Greater Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with faith, compassion, and a vision to grow God’s family. He firmly believes if we can love people, we can lift people and then we can lead them to Christ Jesus.
By his side, First Lady, Saleah Black faithfully serves as a source of strength, grace, and encouragement, uplifting the congregation through her prayers, support, and dedication to God’s people.
Founded September 16, 1973, Bethany Missionary Baptist Church has been a steadfast presence in the Tampa community. On November 5, 1998 Greater was added to the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church name. From its humble beginnings, the church has grown into a vibrant congregation dedicated to worship, service, and fellowship.
